McGregor was born and raised in Crumlin Dublin, Ireland and was Crumlin. He attended Irish-language schools. Besides regular studies he developed his passion for sport, playing football.
In his early life, McGregor worked as a plumber for a living. Speaking to The Mirror back in 2016, McGregor revealed that he took the job to make ends meet, saying “It just wasn’t for me”. Early career (2008–2013) On 9 March 2008, McGregor had his first professional MMA bout, as a Lightweight division, defeating Gary Morris with a second-round Technical Knockout (TKO). He won his second fight against Mo Taylor.
But McGregor lost his professional featherweight debut to Artemij Sitenkov in 2008. The fight was McGregor’s third professional one. It took place in front of just a couple of hundred spectators in Dublin. He was then only 19 years old and was relatively unknown.
McGregor, nicknamed “The Notorious” also a “trouble maker” defeated Eddie Alvarez at UFC 205 on November 12, 2016 to win the UFC lightweight title. McGregor defeats Chad Mendes at UFC 189, to win the interim title. He won the undisputed featherweight title defeating Aldo at UFC 194. Thus he became the first fighter to hold UFC titles in multiple divisions simultaneously, coining the term for him ” Champ Champ”.
