Joe Rogan was born on August 11, 1967, in Newark, New Jersey. He was a martial artist, but he has never professionally fought in Mixed Martial Arts. Today we shall discuss Joe Rogan’s fighting career.

Rogan's fighting career

Although Rogan has not directly fought MMA, he has fought Taekwondo. He was a full contact 4-time Taekwondo state champion and competed in kickboxing ending with a 2-1 record. He is also a 10th planet Jiu-Jitsu black belt, as well as a black belt in the gi holder. His achievement in martial arts as mentioned above is quite worthy of appreciation. Besides his Jiu-Jitsu black belt, 4-time Taekwondo state

championships demonstrate his serious martial arts capabilities. Taekwondo is a Korean form of martial arts involving punching and kicking techniques. It emphasises head-height kicks, spinning jump kicks, and fast kicking techniques. The literal translation for Tae Kwon Do is “kicking”, “punching”, and “the art or way of”.

Joe Rogan competed as a Massachusetts full-contact state champion for four consecutive years and became a taekwondo instructor. He also practised amateur kickboxing and held a 2–1 record. He retired from competition at age 21, as he began to suffer from frequent headaches and feared he might sustain worse injuries that could last forever.

Rogan profession after retirement

In 1997, Rogan’s commentary career in the UFC began. He has since become a well-known interviewer and color commentator for the sport. A color commentator  is a sports commentator who assists the main commentator, typically by filling in when play is not in progress.

He hosted ‘Fear Factor’ in 2001, and ‘Late Friday’ from 2001 to 2002. In 2009, he launched his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, which has become one of the most popular podcasts of that time.

Joe Rogan, the popular comedian, and podcaster has been a fixture of the UFC’s broadcast desk for more than two decades. At age 55, Rogan works far fewer events these days than he did in the past. Still, he serves as the lead colour commentator for the majority of UFC’s domestic pay-per-views. And his voice on air remains a familiar part of many of the most memorable moments in the sport’s history.
